🚙Some rideshare drivers report this frustrating pattern: a rider orders XL, waits until the driver is nearby, cancels, then requests a cheaper standard ride—apparently hoping to get the same vehicle for less.
For drivers accepting XL or XXL trips, that raises a fair concern: you already spent time and miles driving toward one offer, only to see a lower-paying request replace it.
⚠️ Here’s what’s actually verified:
• Getting the same driver again is NOT guaranteed.
• Cancellation fees may apply.
• A cancellation followed by a new request doesn’t automatically prove someone was trying to game the system.
Drivers: review the new fare and ride type before accepting. Keep records of repeated suspicious patterns and report them through support. If an eligible cancellation payment is missing, request a review.
Riders: please book the service your group and luggage actually need. A driver’s time, fuel, and vehicle expenses are real.
