🌙📦 THE APP SAYS “ONE MORE STOP.”🦌 THE DEER DIDN’T GET THE MEMO.

October 15, 2026

Amazon Flex shared these reminders about driving in the dark—and they apply whether you’re delivering packages, groceries, meals, or driving passengers.

Being able to see—and being seen—matters more than shaving a minute off the route.

🚘 Check before leaving.
Clean your windshield inside and out, check your lights, and make sure your wipers work. Smears and glare make a dark road harder to read.

💡 Turn your headlights on before visibility gets poor.
Don’t assume daytime running lights turn on your taillights. Use high beams only when appropriate, and dim them for approaching traffic or vehicles ahead.

🚗 Slow down and leave more room.
Give yourself enough distance to react and stop within the road you can see. Following distance needs to increase with speed, poor weather, and reduced visibility.

🦌 Watch the shoulders, too.
Scan for wildlife near fields and wooded areas. If one animal crosses, stay alert for others. Avoid a sudden swerve into another lane or off the road.

🚦 A green light still deserves a look.
Watch for cross traffic, pedestrians, and drivers who might run the light.

🔦 The safety check continues outside the car.
Wear a reflective vest, carry a flashlight, and look for steps, ice, loose gravel, and pets. Light your path without shining into windows.

📱 Park before solving an address problem.
A missed turn is fixable. Searching your phone while moving can create a much bigger problem.

😴 Know when to stop.
If you’re struggling to stay alert, find a safe place to pull over and rest. Another offer isn’t worth pushing through drowsiness.

If a delivery location feels unsafe, move somewhere safe and contact support.

The most important stop is getting home safely.

What’s the biggest challenge on your night routes: wildlife, glare, or invisible house numbers?
